Always
- Have another adult nearby during every session.
- Start with 60-minute sessions. Never exceed 90 minutes.
- Wear clean, 100% cotton clothing. Synthetic fabrics can build static.
- Clear your ears as pressure builds: pinch your nose and blow gently, swallow, yawn or chew.
- Check every tube, valve and the panel cable is tight and on its labeled port.
- Keep the concentrator ventilated, 50 cm (20 in) from walls and curtains, away from heat, flame and moisture.
Never
- Open a zipper while the gauge reads above 0.
- Cover, block or tighten the red automatic pressure relief valves.
- Connect more than one tube to a port, or add another oxygen source.
- Modify the zipper, valves, concentrator or its software.
- Touch the chamber with sharp or hot objects, or clean it with alcohol.
- Open the concentrator case or attempt repairs. Call us.
Getting out safely
- Press OFF. After about 30 seconds the relief valve opens.
- Wait 15–20 minutes while pressure falls. Keep clearing your ears.
- Unzip only when the gauge reads 0.
Emergency only: turn the concentrator off first, then turn the blue emergency valve to release pressure faster. It may cause ear pain.
Stop the session right away if you feel
Ear or sinus pain that won’t clear, dizziness, chest pain, shortness of breath, numbness, vision changes or panic. Press OFF and tell the person outside. Seek medical help if symptoms continue.
